Through my previous AS media course, I have made numerous judgments on how I am going to make improvements through the following course. I see the main improvements needed within the technology and editing area, seeing as within my group I was the main editor, I want to be able to progress within this year to expand in particular effects such as CGI. Last year the group also suffered from not successfully portraying the characters on screen correctly, this was in the terms of mine en scene, with our characters showing some of our characters with different connotations in their dress to their characters intentions.
Another area I see an improvement in the non diegetic sounds, mainly in the sound track sense, seeing as before the soundtrack we had chosen drew connotations closely to a horror, whereas genre was thriller/ drama. With my group now wanting to pursue a different form of genre such as action or comedy, we want to put a lot more thought into the soundtrack of which we will use in what will now be a trailer, for which we are very excited to start planning and filming.
Through the use of technology that we used, we were able to have a high definition, using the Nikon D3200, But in year 13 we want to be able to expand with our camera techniques, with such as the tripod movement, our group wants to be able to attempt a dolly tracking system, or attempt to use more panorama effects within our trailer, to give a more professional look.
